I spent the afternoon working on a new venture. Some friends and I are looking at starting up a formal ballet school. It's a niche in this town that is currently under-served, and something I've been interested in since I was a kid. It's interesting how opportunities come along when you need them. This might/will turn into some regular income for me, and shouldn't preclude me becoming a novelist. Of course, there are still a lot of details to work out. But that's what's new with me.

Also, little nephew Lucas came home from the hospital today. We're all thrilled.
