Well, I did it. I bought a puppy. It was a little bit spur of the moment, although I've been talking about it for quite a long time. I just went to look at her - I wasn't going to even consider taking her home until after this conference I'm going to next week.

And then she cuddled up to me and looked at me with those big puppy eyes. I'm such a sucker. So let me introduce you to Duchess. Isn't she the cutest thing ever?

She's driving me crazy. Absolutely nutty. We're talking freakout mode. Actually, that was the first three days. Now I have momentary flashes where I think this is a good idea. But that's usually when she's asleep, and it goes away pretty quickly. I'm still pretty solidly in the "What was I thinking?" mode of self-induced change.
