Have I mentioned my weakness for clever graffiti?

There's a huge billboard on my way to work. It's for some brand of light beer. I don't remember which. In huge letters, it says, "Lose the Carbs. Not the Taste." -- or at least it did for the first few weeks it was up.

Now some devilishly clever person has fixed it. They made a perfect overlay - exactly matching the blue background of the billboard and moving the period around so now it says, "Lose the Car. Not the Taste." I titter a little every time I drive by it. You really can't see that it's a patch unless you're right up close to the billboard and know what you're looking for.

Whoever did it, I want to give that person a gold star.

Books: Grrr... suspense....mfphm

Why are Saturdays so much shorter than every other day of the week?

Books: I think my last effort was a success. I'd been dreading rewriting this chapter for a long, long time. Now it's nearly done. I just need to rewrite the beggining to give it more suspense.

I'm having a hard time getting back into the habit of posting here. Bear with me.

I found a new game that has me intrigued. Well, really, it's new rules for playing chess (or a new game using chess pieces, or something). Computer scientists invented it so it would be harder for computers to beat humans. Computers have a terrible time with this game. Humans have it pretty easy. Or at least - the rules are easy to learn.

It's called Arimaa (Apparently pronounced Ah-REE-ma). You can learn more (including learning how to move the pieces) at their website. Yay! A strategy game that encourages using your intuition!

I'm pleased to announce that the archives are back to functioning properly. I know you've all been waiting for that. I've had several requests for the photo section next.

Books: One of those chapters I mentioned is finished - for now. The second one is giving me a spot of trouble. I can't figure out really how to begin it. And what I do know about the start of the chapter is all muddled at the moment. But I'm not going to let that stop me. I've got one exchange worked out and now I just need to flesh out the second one. Then I can go back and beat the beginning into submission.

By golly, it's fixed. Now if I can just get those archives under control....

Testing to see if I fixed the tech problem or just made it worse.
