Birds.
I was given a birdfeeder for Christmas. I've never had much luck with birdfeeders. But this spring - wow, I'm hooked. Now I'm going to make you suffer through pictures of birds at my birdfeeder. How nerdy is that?

Updside down bird! (I'm easily amused.) Also, this is a picture of my first birdfeeder. It's way cool.

These are the most common birds that frequent the birdfeeder. Female house finches? Song sparrow? Chipping sparrow? Pine Siskin maybe the one with the yellow. I don't know.

Male house finch!

Male and female American Goldfinch! I got them their very own feeder because I saw them one day at my bigger one - but only for a moment, because the mean old house finches came and chased them away. So now they can all share! Okay, actually they chase each other back and forth from feeder to feeder, which I find very entertaining.

I'm ready for my close-up!

This guy's my favorite. He's a big bruiser. Every time he shows up, the other birds flee in fear. Well, except the smart-alek ones as pictured here. They hop around carefully staying on the exact opposite side of the birdfeeder while the big guy's eating. At first I thought he was a Spotted Towhee. But now I look more closely at the picture, I think he's a Black-headed Grosbeak.
