Pictures

This is what I made for my brother Eric's Christmas present this year. (We have it set up so we only give one sibling a present every year so we don't have to buy everyone a present as that can get pricy. Anyway....) I like to crochet while I watch TV or movies. I recently learned how to do "granny squares" and discovered they go quite quickly and best of all you don't have to count higher than three. (Sometimes seven.) So this was the project for me.

Eric's blanket - shades of green with white centers.

A close-up of the squares.

A pinkish/rose one for Eric's wife Julia.

And a close-up of the squares (every other one has a round center).

And a little blue one for their baby boy Caleb. They all have matching white centers.

Close-up on the blue squares. So there you have it. My big confession. I'm - as they say - "crafty." When I took up crochet I thought I'd never do projects of this size. Who knew they could be fun? (and not take up every waking moment)
