Pictures
I keep bragging about the sunsets here. Finally I got around to showing you what I mean. Keep in mind - these are typical sunsets. I don't grab my camera for all of them. All these pictures were taken on different evenings from roughly the same spot outside my front door:

After a day of rain - the only sun we saw all day was right there.

This is what the evening sky looks like when there's smoke or ash in the air - from forest fires or Mt. St. Helens.

A summer sunset. Most of the day was bright blue sky with little whispy white clouds.

This one was tough. The sky was exactly the same color as these tulips, but I just couldn't quite capture it. Trust me - exactly the same color in real life.

I think this day counted as "partly cloudy." I love how the clouds look like shadows here over a pink sky.

The different layers of cloud take turns turning colors.

This night there seemed to be fire behind the mountains.

Same night, different exposure (I think)

I loved the mystical fog that seemed to separate the mountains from the valley.

More, the same night - but the color was more intense than this. It was like the air itself was turning colors.

I took lots of pictures of it.

more fire in the mountains.
