The seasons do a little mingling in the Rockies. Sure it's fall, but we've already had the first snow, and that brings on winter thoughts:

First snow....

Second snow... a real blizzard on the morning of Oct 18 that started out with rain and was almost all melted away by evening.

The texture of grass under snow fascinates me, but it's another one of those things that I think can't be captured on film (at least not by me).
